Fate of the Jedi blurb from Millennium Falcon

So with only a week to go, it’s not too suprising that some folks have got a hold of Millennium Falcon early… And while I wouldn’t post actual MF spoilers (I’m sure you can find them yourselves,) the book does contain a new blurb for the upcoming Fate of the Jedi series, and NJOEers have transcribed it for the rest of us. It’s a bit more detailed than anything else we’ve seen so far, so read it under the cut. Continue readingFate of the Jedi blurb from Millennium Falcon

Expanded Universe newsbits: Sue hints, January comics, Sean Williams, sibling rivalry

Lots of tidbits: Sue Rostoni has continued posting bits and pieces about the new contract on StarWars.com boards and blogs, including the timing of Fate of the Jedi and Blood Oath (apparently Seeley’s cover art has Zekk “in a very manly pose, looking ruggedly handsome.”) Meanwhile, the first FOTJ cover will feature Luke, although no artist names yet, and the manuscript for Shadows of Mindor is 419 pages. And she’s updated her book schedule entry with a few new dates (already reflected in our schedule) and the news that the Reaves/Bonhoff ‘holostar’ novel is set two years before the Battle of Yavin. And today we swing right back to Fate of the Jedi: It “will continue to be a mix of characters.”

StarWars.com offers first look at Wild Space

The official site brings us the cover and summary for Karen Miller’s Wild Space, the second novel based on The Clone Wars.

The Separatists have launched a sneak attack on Coruscant. Obi-Wan Kenobi, wounded in battle, insists that Anakin Skywalker and his rookie Padawan Ahsoka leave on a risky mission against General Grievous. But when Senator Bail Organa reveals explosive intelligence that could turn the tide of war in the Republic’s favor, the Jedi Master agrees to accompany him to an obscure planet in the Outer Rim to verify the facts. What Obi-Wan and Bail don’t realize is that they’re walking into a deadly trap concocted by Palpatine… and escape may not be an option.

The book’s street date has also changed – it’s now listed for December 9.
