Star Wars with occasional sarcasm
There’s a lot coming out this week, but sadly little of it is anything new. Today brings two DVD sets, repackaging the two-DVD editions of the Original and Prequel Trilogies. You can also pick up the latest Star Wars Insider.
Meanwhile, Wednesday brings the third collection of Rebellion, Small Victories.
StarWars.com has the blurbs for the first two books in the new series, as well as the cover for Hostage.
In other EU news, the previews for Legacy #30/Vector part 11 and The Clone Wars #3 are up.
So last time, the traffic killed his server, but now he’s back with the third and final installment… Plus Zahn.

There’s a new Hyperspace short story – ‘Fists of Iron’ by Ed Erdelac – a fan who has previously contributed a What’s the Story. (Well, don’t get too excited, fanfic writers – he does have a few publishing credits.)
Over at Dark Horse’s Star Wars zone, Associate Editor Dave Marshall pumps up the fans for continuing developments in Knights of the Old Republic. For the rest of us… Still no Legacy #30 preview. Sorry.
Bookspot Central breaks in a brand-new interview feature by talking to Paul S. Kemp about getting into Star Wars, including some words of wisdom from Mike Stackpole:
At this last GenCon I met Mike Stackpole and asked him about his experiences writing Star Wars. He didn’t offer direct advice either, but he said if you write a good book, the fans will love you forever. Write a bad one, and there will be hell to pay.

The big news here may be that he’s writing a Terminator novel, From the Ashes, a prequel to next year’s Terminator Salvation movie.
The Old Republic: EUC spotted a video of last week’s reveal. No trailers or gameplay footage though – there’s some sort of exclusive deal with “a US broadcaster.” (Spike? Cartoon Network?) Meanwhile, io9 talked to lead designer Jeff Dobson.
Sue Rostoni announced that Troy Denning’s first Fate of the Jedi novel – third in the cycle – is titled Abyss.
