I want a novel about the A-wing pilot in that still. In my head, it’s the story of a hard-drinking, wisecracking grandmother who joins the Rebellion and spends all of her time having adventures and hanging out with a neurotic Rodian mechanic. There is a scene where she gets into a fistfight with Han Solo.
I think Pablo said this on Twitter, but I have to agree with him. Are folks just now getting around to watching th BluRay extras?
Even if you don’t want the movies on BluRay (which is sad, because they’re gorgeous), it’s worth buying the set for the behind-the-scenes stuff, alone.
Yeah, yeah, we’re all late on this. Hell, Aficionado posted it back in September. Happens all the time, though. Better late than never!
I’m more ashamed it took months for anyone to notice the Aficionado post… That was probably right after I stopped following them, too. To Google Reader!
Honestly I haven’t watched the Blu-rays at all, not even the movies. It took me a while to get a Blu-ray player but I still don’t have an HDTV, so I might as well just watch ’em on Spike when they show. For the tweeting!
What I don’t understand is, with all the changes that George did to the original trilogy, how did he not think that it would be a good idea to put the women pilots back in? Even if all he did was have them as just being there and having a few shots, it would have been worthwhile.
Star Wars was pretty much a sausage fest.
