Do you fancy cross-stitching R2 D2 throw pillows? Ever contemplated knitting Han Solo socks? Or found yourself trying to dry a papier mache Jar Jar Binks pinata in your driveway?
It’s a Ring Thing
If anyone ever tries to tell you that the Swiss aren’t funny, don’t believe ’em.
“The Ring Thing” (out 16 December in Switzerland) is a spoof of “Lord of the Rings” and looks absolutely hilarious.
Be sure to download the trailer. Worth seeing if only to witness Gandalf smoking pipe weed out of an Alpine horn, Legolas as a blonde bombshell, and some type of orgy perhaps involving big wheels of cheese.
Here’s hoping for a wide release on DVD with English subtitles.
Terminator Hunt now in bookstores!
Aaron Allston’s “Terminator Hunt” hits bookstores this week!
Amazon says:
Riding the crest of popularity following Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator Hunt continues the action where Aaron Allston’s first Teminator 3 novel, Terminator Dreams left off, with an exciting original story of John Connor, Kate Brewster, and the human Resistance battling Skynet and its deadly robots.
Just in time for the gift-giving season. Weeeee!
Bah humbug
Digital Spy is reporting that Uncle George wants to ban the Star Wars Holiday Special.
No Princess Leia singing? No Maude? No Luke with the Hayley Mills hairdo?
There goes Christmas!
The house that Hobbits built
The BBC reports that the British government has named JRR Tolkien’s house as a listed building.
This means that “protected status” will be awarded to the Oxford home where Tolkien wrote “The Hobbit” and much of “LOTRs.”
Chocolate: the wonder drug?
This just might take the sting out of having a cold.
Santa, I’ve been good
Forget my two front teeth, I want Santa to bring me my very own “Han Shot First” T-shirt for Christmas.
You want fries with that?
The good folks at TFN have apparently gotten their hands on scans of the Burger King promotional material for ROTS.
Pretty cool stuff and interestingly from all six movies. Yes, there are ROTS spoilers, so run, run away Sir Dan.
ROTS charity screenings
May 12th is the day that lucky (and rich) people in 10 U.S. cities will get a chance to attend charity screenings of “Revenge of the Sith.” Lucky buggers.
Also, check out the link at the bottom of the page for a very interesting picture (spoiler!).
Lucky dog!
Some guy over on AICN is claiming to have seen the first eight minutes of ROTS. Not sure if it’s true or not, but seems to jive with spoilers I’ve found on the net.
The review was quite favorable. Needless to say, massive spoilers.
Is it May yet? AHHHHH!!!!
