Long Way Round Keeps Plugging Along
An extended edition DVD of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s round the world motorcycle adventure will be released to viewers in the UK on November 7.
Meanwhile, no version of the show has yet been released in North America. You can go here and register for notification from Amazon in the event it ever is. Your indication of interest apparently will be passed on to the studio.
If you get tired of holding your breath, both sets of DVDs from the UK are “Region 0” meaning they’ll play on some DVD players and almost all computers.
Canadian viewers will get to see LWR starting November 1 on the Outdoor Life Network.
And, finally, the print version of their adventure is topping the travel book charts in the UK.

Sean Astin is joining the cast of the American television drama 24. It’s not known what character he’ll play, but should be worth checking out anyway.
The fifth season begins its run in January.

Talk about being spoiled. Some idiots posted the big spoiler from the end of “Half-Blood Prince” on a banner over a motorway in the UK. Not even PG is that mean.
Pirated copies of the book are already for sale in Mumbai and apparently it is also available on the internet. What I want to know is who the hell can type that fast?
Replacement for “Guys and Dolls” Miss Adelaide
Former Coronation Street star Sarah Lancashire will replace Jane Krakowski starting 5 December. No word yet on who will replace Ewan McGregor.
Wah! The end really is coming. If you’ve been debating whether or not to go, time to get serious about finding a cheap fare to London.
