A Dog’s Breakfast Screening!

While we await progress on Aaron‘s Deadbacks, another film is progressing that is of interest to our readers.

David Hewlett‘s A Dog’s Breakfast will be having its first screening in Los Angeles on November 16th. The film stars many actors from the Vancouver sci-fi TV community; including most of the actors from the various Stargates.

In addition, anyone who has a dog will be quite amused (and rather disgusted) by the latest clip from the film.

Buh-bye, Andy

We interrupt the exciting news about Helen’s upcoming book to break some sad (and probably not-so-surprising) news to the Durannies who frequent this page:

Andy Taylor is leaving Duran Duran.

Again.

I remember listening to an appearance of Andy and Simon on a local Atlanta radio station and Andy was none-too-pleasant. Simon sounded like he was rather exhausted trying to cover up for him.

I’m impressed they made it five years! And Duran Duran with Timbaland? Could be kinda cool…

Okay. Back to your regularly-scheduled geekdom.

Get into the Gate Stuff

As the producers of the Stargate franchise are fond of reminding us, Stargate SG1 has not been cancelled, it has only been dropped by SciFi here in the US. This, of course, leads us to a slight problem of how US fans will get their Gate in the future.

SaveStargate.com is trying to do some market research on alternate methods of getting your Gate. Give them your feedback.

In other Gate news, a transformed official website has gone up for the syndicated series (which is just starting Season 9). Lots of nifty behind-the-scenes stuff. New layout. Pretty pictures. Go check it out!
