Entertainment Weekly has decided to cause mass whining and gnashing of teeth by putting together a list of The Sci-Fi 25, celebrating the best sci-fi moments of the past 25 years.

Quite a few tidbits about Star Wars people in the news:
Keira Knightley (Sabe) is about ready to give up acting. Millions of fanboys flock to counseling for support.
Masi Oka, a former ILM-er, almost did the same thing before a gig on a little show called Heroes came along.
Natalie Portman (Padme Amidala) is apparently going in the opposite direction by playing two roles in her upcoming film Goya’s Ghosts.
Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) didn’t seem to care much. She just enjoyed having lunch with hairy creatures and robots.
And someone who might be a bit too busy to do any acting for a while is Keisha Castle-Hughes (Queen Apailana), who gave birth to a little girl on April 25th.

The first episode will air on May 14th.

Having said all that, I feel like I’m far enough along to give at least a relatively-informed review.
Bottom line: I’d recommend getting this book if you hold any love for the original movie. It’s a lot of fun.
The much-anticipated launch of James “Scotty” Doohan‘s ashes into space was completed on Saturday.

One doesn’t normally associate Stargate with anything remotely resembling the hip-hop culture. But G4TV started it and David Hewlett (Rodney McKay) has now replied.
Don’t listen if you can’t laugh out loud. It’s embarassingly funny (as only nerdy men rapping can be).
Love him or hate him, Rick Berman ran the Trek franchise for a long time. And now he plans to tell all.
Rumors and controversy? Engage.
The Sanctuary is finally ready to open its doors on May 14th.
