Dov Kelemer, organizer of The Vader Project, thinks that Star Wars is becoming nerdy: “Because you stay Star Trek and there’s just such a stigma, and I don’t want that to happen to Star Wars, so I’m doing my best to keep it relevant and keep it fun.”
Um. Okay. Either way, a brilliant show.
One could argue whether or not this is really anime or even closely related to sci-fi in any sort of way, but it does hold some fond memories for many CJers.
The Speed Racer movie is finally beginning production and is expected to be released in May of next year.
Gee, Trixie. Do you think it’ll be any good?
Of course there will be more Heroes. Apparently there will also be Origins, which will eventually send a character over to Season 2 of Heroes.

Whether it’s due to the actual development of the story or just lessons learned from the success of Heroes, The 4400 intends to answer some of the big questions in this season’s shows when it starts on June 17th.

Zach Selwyn, of G4 Attack of the Show fame, famously campaigned, via rap video, to get onto Stargate Atlantis.
Suitably amused by said video, the producers gave Zach the role of “Scientist #2” in an upcoming Season 4 episode. The fruits of his efforts can be found on YouTube.
For those particularly sensitive to spoilers, you can see the new uniforms (spiffy) and get to hear the plotline of an upcoming episode, complete with the filming of one scene. But don’t you really want to go look?
The long-awaited original internet series Sanctuary has finally launched with the first webisode.
The series, created by ex-Stargate producer Damian Kindler, stars Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) and Christopher Heyerdahl (Halling), and features guest appearances by Stargate Atlantis actors David Hewlett (Rodney McKay) and Paul McGillion (Carson Beckett).
The first few webisodes are free. Afterwards, there will be a small subscription fee to watch the show.
Forget the Oscars. What geeks truly want to know is what will win the Saturn, given out by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.
The Academy webmaster is apparently still sleeping it off, but the SciFi Wire has you covered with all the up, up and away winners. (Can you tell that Superman Returns did very well, this year?)
