A Dog’s Chat

David Hewlett has announced that he will be attempting a simul-chat for his movie A Dog’s Breakfast on Friday, August 3rd. (ADB is the film starring and made by many Stargate cast and crew.)

Fans who have downloaded the film will all press play at the same time and the chatting will ensue, with fans having the chance to ask questions as they go along.

(You might also want to check out David’s blog if you’d like to know when all the Stargate Atlantis stuff is happening at ComicCon.)

Eureka! You can go green!

So, okay. They can’t give you a house with SARAH running things. But the smart folks at Eureka are offering a contest to help you turn your home eco-friendly with the Eureka $mart House Energy Efficiency Challenge. (Since Global Warming was the result of one of their experiments going wrong, they have to make up for it somehow!)

Sadly, this does require some decent and/or creative writing as you need to come up with 250 words about why you deserve to win. (Oh. And save the planet and all that stuff.)

Harry Potter and the Fear of Spoilers

Wal-Mart recently announced its Harry Potter spoiler policy with a rather amusingly-written poem:

Wal-Mart’s Pledge to Harry Potter Fans

There’s plenty of excitement brewing,
As the final chapter draws near;
But hearing the story’s end from others,
Is what magicals and muggles all fear;
So at Wal-Mart worldwide we’ve decided,
To make a pledge to our customers that’s clear,
We’ll keep silent on what we discover July 21,
So you buy without fear of reveal here.

JK Rowling they aren’t, but it’s a great sentiment. Some stores are even handing out earplugs for the even more nervous.

Club Jade will also make all attempts to keep the spoilage off of our pages (if any of us can even stand to look for fear of getting spoiled ourselves) with plenty of warnings and links.
