Giant Magazine interviewed David Hewlett for the release of A Dog’s Breakfast, which come out this week on DVD in the US and Canada.
In the interview, David reveals that his next film is called Design of the Dead. A home renovation team not only revives a house, but the zombies inside it, as well.
That will give a new spin to the home improvement show!
MGM is attempting a Browncoat-type campaign to save Stargate; which is apparently on the bubble for renewal. They’re inviting fans to enroll as part of Team Stargate.
Fans will be able to earn points and ranks and nifty prizes by doing activities MGM will assign you that help promote the Stargate franchise.

Yes, there is now a licensee who will make Star Trek themed coffins. And they’re available around the world!

You gotta feel for JJ Abrams. The next Star Trek film is the most anticipated, yet angst-ridden, film since the Star Wars prequels. (Maybe this is why he was talking with George?)
The latest batch of whining and gossiping includes:
– Roddenberry’s son expressing his complete and utter doubt that a prequel will work
– Jennifer Garner as the next Vulcan sex symbol? (Look out, Jolene Blalock!)
– Russell Crowe as the main bad-guy?
Zachary Quinto has no qualms. He wanted the Spock gig.
Long thought to be the equivalent of Richie Cunningham’s brother Chuck (y’know, the one from Happy Days who went to his room and never came back down?), it’s looking like Seargent Bates is making a comeback. (Oh, so spoilery.)
Speaking of characters returning, GateWorld also got some scoopage on the return of Carson Beckett (as well as the “sucking up” skills of Paul McGillion).
While producers are praying for good opening ratings to convince SciFi that the show is worth renewing, SciFi is doing its best to kill it by distributing unfinished episodes in their press kit. Naturally, they’re all over the internet.
Resist the urge, folks! Find a Nielson family to watch the show with you on September 28th!

Producer David Eick is making the media rounds to assure fans that all is still well with the new Bionic Woman after the departure of Glen Morgan. Apparently, this is all just normal stuff that new shows go through.
As long as you still have Michelle Ryan and Katee Sackhoff, I don’t think any of the guys will so much care that Glen Morgan left.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is finding many ways to make his fans swoon.
He’s talking about his first-ever sex scene in the movie December Boys. And he’s heading to Broadway to perform Equus, the source of many an un-Harry-like publicity photo and larceny, apparently.
