George Lucas urges Hollywood filmmakers to take more responsibility for the messages they send to the rest of the world at a World Affairs Council event. The council gave Lucas a Global Vision Award, honoring him as “the father of digital film.”

Topps is putting out an updated set of Star Wars Evolution cards this summer. It seems it’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from Topps… (Although given my lack of a collecting bent, maybe it’s just me. ;) I was always quite fond of the artwork-based sets from the 90’s, perhaps we’ll see a resurgence there as well.

Scholarship to honor Octavia E. Butler
