Two comics and two collections are our new releases this Wednesday, September 19. Head to the comic store for Star Wars #54 or Lando: Double or Nothing #5. For the trade collectors, there’s Doctor Aphra Volume 1 in hardcover, and for Legends fans, the prequel-era Menace Revealed Volume 1 collection.
Meet Resistance’s team of Aces
We met Team Fireball, part of the Star Wars Resistance cast a few weeks ago: Now it’s time for some details on “the Aces,” pilots who protect the show’s main setting, the Colossus platform.
They include Myrna Velasco’s Torra Doza, Donald Faison’s Hype Fazon, Stephen Stanton’s Griff Halloran, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn’s Freya Fenris and the mysterious Bo Keevil. (Their ships, Blue Ace, Green Ace, Black Ace, Red Ace and Yellow Ace, plus the Fireball, all now have Databank entries.)
The video debuted on USA Today, who also talked to Dave Filoni.
The show will debut on October 7 on the Disney Channel and DisneyNOW.

Two more cut scenes from Solo today! The first, via Entertainment Weekly, is Han as a TIE trainee, and his subsequent trial that led him to Mimban. The second, a snowball fight on Vandor, debuts on The Star Wars Show, which also features a Ray Park interview:
Buckle up, baby: Early looks at the Solo extras
Sure enough, a bunch of Solo extra clips showed up today. On io9, a look at going to hyperspace. Fandango has a roundtable clip, and D23 has lighting with cinematographer Bradford Young.
John Powell on composing Solo, working with John Williams
In a StarWars.com interview, Solo composer John Powell talks about scoring the film (including ‘Chicken in the Pot,’ Enfys Nest and the famed Kessel Run) and working with John Williams.
Collins and Ratcliffe return as Celebration hosts
David Collins and Amy Ratcliffe will return as stage hosts for Celebration Chicago, StarWars.com reports. This will be Collins’ sixth turn, and Ratcliffe’s third. They’re back at the Galaxy and Behind-the-Scenes stages, respectively.
Celebration Chicago will be April 11-15, 2019 at McCormick Place.
Star Wars out this week: Solo on digital
The week begins with the Solo junior novelization, and ends with Solo itself on digital, with some comics in-between.
