Dark Nest details

The official site has posted about Troy Denning’s post-NJO trilogy.

The disappearance of a small team of Jedi Knights — including Jaina and Jacen Solo — in the Unknown Regions has sparked controversy. The reclusive Chiss has lodged a formal complaint, angrily accusing the missing Jedi of meddling in a border dispute between the Chiss and an unidentified aggressor.

Jedi Master Luke Skywalker ventures into the Unknown Regions to contain the damage, while Han and Leia follow, concerned for their children. What they find is a colony of mysterious aliens edging towards Chiss space, led by a Force adept who is recruiting old and powerful friends to his cause. He is compelling them to join the colony and meld their Force-abilities with his, even if it leads to all-out war.

Not quite the ‘Back to Naboo!’ we were expecting… Honestly? I’m a little relieved. But I’m strange.

It’s Star Wars People Week!

First off, George Lucas is getting an AFI Lifetime Award:

“I’ve been very fortunate to have had a long career doing what I love to do, and being recognized by the AFI for it is really an honor,” Lucas said. “I’m proud to be counted among such an extraordinary group of people whose lives are dedicated to the art of making movies.”

And he bought Ewan McGregor a motorbike. Wouldn’t we all? (Assuming we could afford it.) For more Ewan, check out this interview with Scotland Today.

More interview action with Christopher Lee. Damn that man’s done a lot of movies.

And last but not least… The Star Wars Kid makes an appearance in Tony Hawk Underground 2.

Lost takes off

They’re using the word ‘hit’ so it must be true, right? It’s no secret that Lost has already gained quite a fanbase – there’s already a fan site, several Livejournal communities, and even Sawyer fangirls.

And naturally, interviews with the actors. Evangeline Lilly (Kate) on her first speaking role ever; Daniel Dae Kim (Jin)and Yunjin Kim (Sun); Terry O’Quinn (Locke); and Dominic Monaghan (Charlie).

Also in the press, some theories about what’s in that jungle. I don’t know about you, but I’m holding out for Sleestaks. But the theory in the article makes much more sense and probably doesn’t have copyright issues. Or bad rubber suits.

Although… my Cthulhu is missing…
