Abrams Does Trek

The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that JJ Abrams, best known for producing Lost and the upcoming Dark Tower series, will be directing the next Star Trek film.

The Official Star Trek website posted an article about it, but only sites The Hollywood Reporter article.

None of this should come as any surprise, given how much the man has been talking about it. But it’s an interesting direction for Paramount to go, if it is, indeed, official.
