TFN spotted a few new posters over at Trailer Addict.
Newsbits: Penny Arcade, SFX, TCW apathy, 3-D
- Comics: Penny Arcade takes on one of the Expanded Universe’s less savory traits.
- Media: September issue of UK mag SFX features multiple Clone Wars covers.
- And someday we might even see them: Jeffrey Katzenberg tells Coming Soon that George Lucas is planning to convert all six films in 3-D.
- Been there, done that: The Daily Herald finds that some fans are less than buzzed for The Clone Wars. Well, that’s my experience… Just not really feeling this one.
Jetlagged LFL staffers invade San Deigo
Pity them or envy them, the StarWars.com crew are off for their second con in two weeks – and here’s their SDCC setup gallery. Also attending? Marco Andretti ‘s Clone Wars car. Rebelscum is pulling double duty as well, and they’ve already got several galleries from preview night up. EU fans will probably be most interested in Hasbro’s comic packs.
Meanwhile, Del Rey’s Suvudo blog has images and a a video tour of the con floor. (But what’s up with the elevator music?)
Sillof steampunks Empire Strikes Back
The internet’s favorite action figure customizer is back with a steampunk take on Episode V, focusing on bounty hunters. Most impressive, particularly the strangely Hobbit-like Yoda. (via)
Something Something Something Dark Side poster
Quick and easy ways to ruin a movie scene
Kottke has a nice collection move scenes ‘ruined’ by inappropriate music replacement. The ‘Under Pressure’ garbage compact scene is pretty basic, but some of the others, mainly Monsters Inc. and 2001, are pretty hilarious.
Robot Chicken Strikes Back?
Combined with the release of the Robot Chicken: Star Wars special on DVD is the news that there is a second Star Wars special coming down the line from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and company. Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams will be joining the voice cast. Episode II will be coming out on November 16 on Cartoon Network.
Answers from Robot Chicken
