A Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker book by… R.L. Stine? R.L. Stine, the Dean Koontz of 90’s teeny-bopper horror? Sorry, Rebelscum, I don’t care what the Insider said – this can not be for real.
This fall, on NBC…
Upfront season has begun, when the networks announce their programming for fall. First to bat is NBC, which is retaining the genre hit Heroes and giving it a spin-off, Origins, which will run in the same time slot in the off season (whenever that may be.) Among the brand-new shows is the Bionic Woman remake and Journeyman, in which Rome’s Kevin McKidd as a time-traveling reported, and Chuck, about a computer geek who becomes a government agent. Check out NBC.com for previews of the new shows.
Movie News: Iron Man, Trek, Mummy, HP
ILM will be doing the visual effects for the upcoming Iron Man movie, with Skywalker Sound in on sound design and mixing. Ben Snow, who was VFX supervisor on AOTC, will head ILM’s team.
Also in film…
R2-CAKE2, for all your special occasions
Never teh Bride over at Manolo for the Brides has a picture of a super fantastic R2-D2 cake. I can’t help but wonder what the appropriate cake flavor is. And also whether Missi could make us one.
Video: Inside the Presidio
Kara Swisher’s visit to Lucasfilm and ILM. There are people who don’t know who Boba Fett is? Perhaps there is hope for humanity yet. Seriously though, this video offers a good look at some of the movie stuff hanging around the place.
Video du jour: Action is his reward
I’m not particularly surprised that Michael BublĂ© covered the old Spider-man theme song, but a video? Apparently the song ran over the closing credits of Spider-Man 2, a Wikipedia ‘fact’ I am disinclined to personally confirm. Kelly?
Happy Birthday, George!

The first few webisodes are free. Afterwards, there will be a small subscription fee to watch the show.
Clone Wars coming to CIV! (Sort of)
Producer Catherine Winder and Supervising Director Dave Filoni will present a Clone Wars behind-the-scenes presentation on Sunday at Celebration.
What is the best game show ever?
Star Wars will be featured on Jeopardy Tuesday! I love Jeopardy. So why haven’t I watched it since college?
