From Bonnie comes word that the editors of the forthcoming She’s Such a Geek: An Anthology by and for Women Obsessed with Computers, Science, Comic Books, Gaming, Spaceships, and Revolution are looking for “introspective essays that explain what being a geek has meant to you. Describe how you’ve fought stereotypes to be accepted among nerds.”
I think we know a few likely candidates…

Some rowdy drunks have created quite a scare at an old folks home in southern Sweden.
And these boozers were as big as a moose.
In fact they were moose.
Police say a mama moose and her calf got tipsy from eating fermented apples. Police managed to scare them off once. But the juiced moose returned to get more of the liquored-up fruit.
Police sent for a hunter and his dog, who managed to chase the animals away. To make sure the moose don’t fall off the wagon again, police had all the boozy apples picked up and carted away.
I’m not making this up.
