Infecting the Next Generation

Wanted:
– Star Wars toys
– Polaroid Spectra instant film

The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collectors Society is sponsoring a drive to collect supplies for the Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion to use in their visits to children’s hospitals.

Getting into Star Wars is an infection that they’d probably welcome in children’s hospitals.

If you’re interested in helping out, mail your donations to:
Garrison Carida Toy Drive
c/o Andy Loney/Toy Cave
147 N. Hanover St.
Carlisle, PA 17013

Don’t feel like putting together a package? Ask your local 501st garrison if they could use similar assistance.

Game On!

If you got a bit lost in the flurry of fanboy love that came with the movie trailer, you might have missed the release of the trailer for the ROTS video game. More fleshed-out on the actual game than the earlier previews, it gives us an early glimpse of what to expect from Lucasfilm in the way of CGI sets and weaponry… And some VERY interesting possibilities for the finished film itself. But it IS only a video game, and these things ARE variable… but it’s a gold mine of nebulous hints to poke and prod at, and isn’t that part of the fun of the spoiler penthouse?

Mark Hamill, Up Close and on the Internet

I feel almost bad bumping down the ROTS teaser trailer, because that is the bigger story, today.

But in other Star Wars-related news, Mark Hamill (that’s Luke Skywalker, to all you non-SW fans out there) will be on a webcast from the premiere of his film “Comic Book: The Movie” at the California Independent Film Festival, today.

It’ll be something to do while you wait for space to open up on the StarWars.com servers.
