In stores now, because I am a ding-a-ling and haven’t done a releases post in a couple weeks, is Star Wars #16 and the paperback of Tim Lebbon’s Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void, a novel based on the Dawn of the Jedi comics. I liked it, even going in with no background on the era, and gave it a B+ when it came out in hardcover last year.
Star Wars #12 is coming to comic shops on Wednesday. It’s also time for non-subscribers to start keeping an eye out for Star Wars Insider #146, which features a short story from Joe Schreiber that ties into Maul: Lockdown and the Greg Weisman interview we wrote about last week.
It’s not a big week for releases, but we’ve at least got Star Wars #11 coming up on Wednesday.
Comics are pretty much all we’re going to see for the rest of the year, though the paperback for Timothy Zahn’s Scoundrels is due out on the 26th. Our next brand-new novel will be Darth Maul: Lockdown by Joe Schreiber on January 21st.
No books this week, but there is one big release on Tuesday: Blu-ray/DVD combo packs of the two trilogies. These are the same cuts of the film we saw last time, just with DVD versions and new cover art, so it’s not that big a deal, but if you’re a collector or just need copies for some reason, it’s your lucky day.
