Heir to the Jedi, Lords of the Sith release dates pushed back

Two new Star Wars novels that are coming out next spring have had their release dates changed slightly, Del Rey informs us today. Kevin Hearne’s Heir to the Jedi moves back two weeks, from February 17 to March 3. Meanwhile, Paul S. Kemp’s Lords of the Sith only jumps back a week, from April 21 to April 28. Our book release page has been updated.

Both novels will be considered part of the canon.

Marvel solicits their new Star Wars #1

We don’t usually cover comic solicitations anymore, but Marvel released theirs for January today, and that means an unwatermarked look at the Alex Ross cover for the new Star Wars #1 that’s a homage to Howard Chaykin’s from back in 1977. (Among several other variants.)

There are no real surprises in the copy, but there is a letter from Marvel editor Axel Alonso, which you can see below the cut.

Today in Episode VII: Carrie Fisher’s birthday, Daniel Radcliffe visited the set

→ Some of the Episode VII crew went out yesterday to celebrate Carrie Fisher’s birthday. The article is from the Daily Mail and thus awful, so here’s the pictures.

Daniel Radcliffe has visited the Pinewood set; he knows folks there due to Harry Potter, naturally.

Christina Chong still hasn’t been confirmed, but her management says she’s wrapped her part on Episode VII. (via)
