There’s nothing quite like the feeling of the world tilting off its axis, as news spreads on the interwebs that yes, the Dragonball Z live action movie is a go. Among the rumored cast members are Justin Chatwin (from the War of the Worlds movie and Lost) as Goku and James Marsters, (of Buffy and Angel fame) as the villain. James Kyson Lee (Ando from Heroes) reportedly auditioned for the role of Yamcha.
My only question is, will Goku’s power level be over nine thousand?
Remember all those rumors about an X-Files movie maybe, possibly being made sometime soon? Turns out that it’s kinda true. Apparently, a script has been written and both Anderson and Duchovny are on board. Filming would begin this November, so it would be out for summer of next year.
Because he didn’t have enough fun making the upcoming Transformers movie, producer Leonardo Di Bonaventura has his sights set on a live-action GI Joe movie.
And in an eighties and nineties pop-culture tie-in, he’s considering Mark Wahlberg for the role of Duke. Does this mean Nikki Cox will be Scarlett?
IGN reports that Lucas is hiring scriptwriters for the upcoming TV series. Wonder if any of the past SW authors will give it a shot?
We’ve had the second CJ casuality–Aaron busted his knee in a fall on the ice. Hopefully it’s not a serious problem. Rogue, however, lead the CJers in sheer number of falls, I believe. We all stared in awe as Liz, Caitlin, Diane and Jen dazzled us with their talent at skating. I skated on the ice for the first time and I didn’t fall down–I guess it’s true that rollerblading experience helps you with ice skating.
Also, we have not watched any bootlegs whatsoever. Not a one.
