Back to the beginning
A set of Ralph McQuarrie’s Star Wars concept art, scanned in high res. Very nice!
Old friends, long gone
Topps is putting out an updated set of Star Wars Evolution cards this summer. It seems it’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from Topps… (Although given my lack of a collecting bent, maybe it’s just me. ;) I was always quite fond of the artwork-based sets from the 90’s, perhaps we’ll see a resurgence there as well.

Several transcripts from IRC chats with Star Wars luminaries – mostly authors – from the late 90’s: Bulloch, Zahn, Allston, Stackpole, Anderson, Crispin, Salvatore and more.
E for Enough Already
Peter David is fed up with all the whining over Alan Moore and V for Vendetta. Some interesting stuff on the nature of adaptions in the comments.
Man being eaten by an alligator
More than you ever thought you’d want to know about the Wilhelm scream. Interesting trivia: It may have originated from the same guy who gave the world “Purple People Eater.”
