The Clone Wars moves on and out with ‘Tipping Points’

In the morning, the Onderon arc wraps up with ‘Tipping Points.’ (And no, we haven’t forgotten about the reviews – you’ll see more from Stooge once the arc is complete!)

On the Star Wars blog, Pablo drops some hints at an “amazing guest star” in the Young Jedi episodes. The blog also features an interview with Dawn-Lyen Gardner, who voices Steela Gerrera

Meanwhile, Leland Chee has continued laying out the chronology of The Clone Wars in syndication, from ‘Ambush’ to ‘Rookies’ to ‘The Gungan General.’

Annies for John Williams and Rango, but The Clone Wars goes home empty-handed

There was no love – or at least, no awards – for The Clone Wars at Saturday’s Annie Awards. However, ILM’s Rango did take home several prizes, including best animated feature, while composer John Williams won for his Tintin score. ILM’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon took best animated effects.

The Clone Wars had 5 total nominations, including Best General Audience Animated TV Production (The Simpsons won) and editing. The individual achievement categories singled out Joel Aron for animated effects and voice actors Dee Bradley Baker and Nika Futterman.

Trailer: James Arnold Taylor’s “Talking to Myself”

Voice actor James Arnold Taylor, (Obi-Wan Kenobi on Star Wars: The Clone Wars) recently posted a trailer for his one-man show, “Talking to Myself”. Teasing his eighty-minute show, this clip covers some of different parts of his act. If you’ve seen his show from Star Wars weekends at Walt Disney World (or seen video of that half-hour show online last year), these bits aren’t new, but it is always entertaining. Hopefully Taylor will bring his show to Celebration VI!

Catching up with The Clone Wars

There’s no new Clone Wars tonight, but there are several tidbits of news.

First off, there’s another Chewbacca video and some finale rumor dispelling (Spoilers? Sort of?) going around.

On Twitter, an actress you might recognize reveals that she’ll be voicing a character… But given the lead time on these things, I’m guessing we probably won’t hear much more until next season.

More imminent is Free Comic Book Day on May 7 and StarWars.com has a preview of Dark Horse’s Savage Opress offering. (Psst, Avatar: The Last Airbender fans… That preview is over here.)
