Club Jade favorites Heroes and Veronica Mars took home several E! Online Tater Tops Awards.

Heroes won for Best Breakout Star, Best Guest Star, and Best New Show. While Veronica Mars took home honors for Drama Mama, Biggest Disappointment, and Star You’ll Miss Most.

Long live couch potatoes!

It’s a good day, Silent Bob: Veronica Mars gets an (almost) full season and George Takei will play Hiro’s father on Heroes.

Also, Ugly Betty. No, it’s not genre, but it is TV’s best new show. And there’s a mystery. And the guy who plays Daniel looks kinda like Jamie Bamber.

It’s kind of like ‘Swingers’ for nerds because it’s about these four awesome guys who are ‘Star Wars’-obsessed and they drive cross-country to break into [George] Lucas’ ranch to steal the final episode. It’s so funny. There’s a scene where there’s a full-on war between Trekkies and the ‘Star Wars’ kids, ‘Braveheart’ style. I’ll be shooting on the weekends for six weeks. It’s going to be a big workload, but I wasn’t willing to turn the part down because it was such a great script.

The WB and UPN to merge, create new network. Veronica Mars and Smallville are expected to survive any resulting shakedown. Hopefully someone can find the courage to finally put Charmed down and give VMars the Sunday slot. I’d totally watch it against Desperate Housewives.
