‘It’s A Trap,’ the above design by Brian Kesinger, is the winner of We Love Fine’s first Star Wars tee design contest. I’m glad to see that the franchise is finally harnessing the massive amount of fan talent out there for t-shirts.
I do wish there were less bounty hunter stuff among the top choices, but I didn’t vote.
It’s official! Her Universe and BBC Worldwide have hooked up to create a Doctor Who collection! The first four shirts feature the Tardis (of course) and a tribute to River Song. And the image Ashley revealed yesterday? It’s “a special Doctor Who logo just for female fans which will only appear on merchandise from the Her Universe collection.”
The graphic looks to be the same as / similar to the one on the Dolman top that Ashley blogged about a month ago – and note she also mentioned racer-backs there! This is almost certainly to be one of the new shirts that will be available on May 4.
Her Universe gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming ‘Queen’ shirt on Facebook today. Get ready to look for it “really soon.”
In addition to stocking the existing Her Universe merchandise, Disney will feature two new
exclusive shirts. Kid’s sizes of two of HU’s designs will also be available.
Ashley Eckstein will be a guest at Weekends, which run each Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 20 through June 12.
The shirts will be exclusive to Disney only through June.
During a panel at Dragon*Con, Ashley Eckstein said to be on the lookout for a Mara Jade tee next spring or summer. I’m pretty sure that would be a first – at least for a licensee!
Big thanks to Mandy for tweeting the news!
Head over to the Her Universe Shop to purchase items from Ashley Eckstein’s new line geared towards female fans! So far there are only six tees and two hoodies available, but more is on the way.
