All is quiet on the book front until October, but there’s quite a comic pile coming on Wednesday. Okay, most of that heap is the giant 800-page Luke Skywalker: Last Hope for the Galaxy collection, but there’s also The Clone Wars: Shipyards of Doom. For regular comics, Vector begins its final lap through the comic GFFA in Legacy #28.
And let’s not forget the latest Star Wars Insider…

On the Dark Horse boards, Randy Stradley shares a new cover (by Adam Hughes) and the content list for Luke Skywalker: Last Hope for the Galaxy. It’s a pretty nice selection, and looks to include some of Marvel’s Shira Brie/Lumiya arc and a bit from Dark Horse’s only NJO-era comic, the Chewbacca mini-series. See the full list under the cut. The folks at Swbooks.co.uk (via) spotted a cover for Luke Skywalker, Last Hope for the Galaxy at Amazon.
It’s somewhat similar to the 30th anniversary collection covers, and features the same Tsuneo Sanda artwork used in the solicitation and at the book’s listing on DarkHorse.com. Check it out under the cut! (more…)

Look out: Dark Horse has something hefty in store for the holiday season. Literally hefty. So sayth Randy Stradley on their boards:
Start saving your money now, because we’re about to announce a $100, 800-page, super-deluxe volume in time for Christmas this year. It won’t be a limited edition, so there should be plenty to go around…
No, I’m not joking. For once.
What could it be? The most plausible speculation on TFN seems to be some sort of Clone Wars omnibus, to tie in with the TV series. But it looks like we won’t have to wait long to find out.
