Bitchin’ Endor. You’re sure to get a kick out of today’s most famous Star Wars eBay listing, i hate this stupid ewok. On that note, this is apparently the 25th anniversary of the debut of the first Ewok movie, Caravan of Courage. I’m sure everyone was all waiting breathlessly for that one back in the day.
Celeb fans. Bonnie talks Star Wars (and The Guild and Dr. Horrible and such) with geek of note Felicia Day.
Contests. Hasbro has picked the winner of their diorama contest.
Charity. The Seattle Area Lucasfilm Artifact Collectors Club, aka SARLACC, are selling a collectible lapel pin to raise money for cancer research.
If I hadn’t already decided that the Todayewok shenanigans was one of my favorite Star Wars moments of 2009, this song may very well have been the thing to push them over the edge. You go, drunken ewok.
The Today Show went totally GFFA this morning — with a little help from LucasFilm. StarWars.com is allover it. And below? Drunken Ewoks steal the show.
Among the 501sters present was our pal Russ. Helen says he’s one of the troopers appears next to the X-Wing during the introduction video.
StarWars.com unearths some European gems from the twilight of original Star Wars mania… The Droids and Ewoks cartoons. Some, like the stuffed Ewoks above, are kind of terrifying. I’m pretty sure that guy on the right is sizing up that poor girl’s skull for his percussion kit.
Awards: Joshua Budich’s Star Wars collection site, which I blogged about way back in 2007, has won a Webby Award and was the People’s Voice pick in the 13th Annual Webby Awards.
Comics: There’s a new update from Editor Randy Stradley on Dark Horse’s Star Wars Zone, and it’s of particular interest to you Dark Times fans. A new story will appear (online, for free) in the January and February issues of Dark Horse Presents on MySpace, with the comic coming back into regular rotation with #13 in April. (Thanks, Zee Zee!)
