April 10th, 2011 by Dunc · 3 Comments

Interviews Bonnie’s been doing the rounds for her craft book with interviews at Geekdad and TFN. The book also got favorable reviews on TFN, Geekdad, and iGeektrooper.

Meanwhile, Deceived author Paul S. Kemp has appeared on podcasts from SF Signal and (along with John Jackson Miller) the ForceCast’s Jedi Journals.

Tour. DK is sending out some of their authors and artists, along with The Clone Wars’ Ashley Eckstein, on an east coast tour throughout May. Ryder Windham, Chris Reiff, Chris Trevas, and Jason Fry will be making appearances.

This place can get a little rough. Looking for a new forum home now that the ones on StarWars.com are going away? EU Cantina has revamped their boards, and even TFN’s Lit has a welcome thread.

As for comics, Wednesday brings Legacy #34, and I’ve also been seeing the latest Insider in stores. And TFN is reporting that UK fans have spotted the first Star Wars Adventures digest, but I don’t think we’ll be seeing them in the states just yet.

Fate of the Jedi blurb from the Random House

September 24th, 2008 by Dunc · 2 Comments

Random House has posted their spring catalog as a PDF, and it includes a blurb (though no cover) for Fate of the Jedi!

Fate of the Jedi launches a huge story arc, with heroic roles for the galaxy’s most beloved characters — Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, and their surviving children, Ben Skywalker and Jaina Solo. While Luke and Ben set off on the journey of a lifetime — of discovery and hardship, of obstacles and victories—the others remain in more familiar territory, dealing with the aftermath of the civil war that rocked the galaxy in the Legacy of the Force.

Some of that is familiar from early rumors but it’s good to have some sort of official confirmation. (When are the print catalogs sent out, exactly? Could it be the source of the early leak? Plus there are a few recently-revealed things missing, like the title of book 1, Outcast.) We can also expect a seven-city author tour, a “free PDF sampler giveaway,” an “original prequel short story” and a live chat (that’s been a while) on StarWars.com. (No, FateOfTheJedi.com isn’t live yet!)

Millennium Falcon also gets a page, which touts that it will have an excerpt from Outcast. Excerpts in hardcovers? That’s new…

KJA moves on to yet another franchise

November 27th, 2006 by Dunc · 3 Comments

You-Know-Who’s latest project is Last Days of Krypton, “an epic novel about the demise of Superman’s home planet.” Our condolences to the many Super-fans who will feel obligated to read the book when it comes out next fall.

In (sorta) related news, David Farland, aka Dave Wolverton (Courtship of Princess Leia) is out and about on a book tour.

Get your Fett on

August 25th, 2006 by Dunc · Comments Off

This is interesting… No author tour, but Bloodlines book release events in Texas, Maryland, Colorado, Arkansas, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, and Utah.

Speaking of events, the Star Wars Road Trip was in Louisville yesterday.

And in other EU news, I somehow overlooked the Legacy #3 preview.
