Uh-oh, it’s Halloween!

Halloween kinda snuck up on me this year – clearly I haven’t been looking at our referral logs as the numbers rise with people looking for ‘Star Wars pumpkins’ and other tokens of the season. Those are already dying off, but for you last-minute Googlers, check out StarWars.com’s collection of crafts, audio, and costumes. You can also check out our halloween tag, though no guarantees all the links will still work.

UPDATE: Halloween Bantha Tracks.

Mary wants your crafting nightmares!

A message from the Mighty Mary Franklin:

I am writing my Bantha Tracks editorial to go with a “Craft” theme, and have decided to write about great Star Wars craft ideas gone all to hell. I know we have some great stories in Club Jade alone! PG and Yav’s “Twin Suns of Corellia” costume, for example, or Jar Jar the F*&*^#g Pinata.

Please send me a brief story and pictures of your Star Wars crafts gone wrong to banthatracks@starwars.com

To meet my deadline for Insider magazine, please send by tomorrow (Tuesday) night. However, if I get a lot of good stories like this I will do a special feature in Bantha Tracks Online, too! Thanks! Jessa.

This week at StarWars.com

Tonight we get our first official look at Star Wars Insider #89, and the cover for A Practical Man, Karen Traviss’ Boba Fett e-novella. The Insider is on it’s way out to subscribers now, and word is that this very site gets a mention. Hmm…

Also featured this week:
– Hyperspace: Old-School Star Wars. Remember mimeographs?
Featured Blog: Mando’ade and Their Toys
Star Wars exhibit opens in Korea
– Hyperspace: The latest issue of Bantha Tracks.

Duke and Tara wipe out the competition

In the latest issue of Bantha Tracks, Union is topping the comic Top Ten list, with Tales of the Jedi trailing behind. Not being Dark Horse’s biggest fan (Tales! Tales! Damn my non-voting self!) I blame our very own Paula, who got quoted. Or maybe not. ;)

Not that Union is the worst thing DH has ever done or anything, but… well. Maybe it’s just my knee-jerk reaction to the series’ awful, awful covers. You can pander to the females without making it look like a romance novel folks – it’s okay.

That and more smushy stuff in the latest edition of Bantha Tracks.
