Fans have been frantically trying to figure out who the “previously unused character” character in his novel is, and Kemp throws them a bone on his LJ:

I am allowed to mention that my Star Wars novel will feature the Jedi Jaden Korr as one of the lead characters.

The speculation continues…

    I foresee a new wave of Wookieepedia vandalism a la the Jedi Exile once Jaden’s species and (more controversially) gender are canonically specified.

    I think Kyle has too much background for it. He might be in it (ugh,) but I doubt he’s the focus.
