Dave Filoni is always so generous. Those who still condemn the prequels could broaden their Lucas horizons by trying to understand why the politics are there. George is still trying to warn us – we all know about Mussolini and keeping the populace satisfied with trains that run on time. That’s as deep as some people take it – is it convenient for me, then it works. During the OT era, the general population heard of the Jedi as members of a crazy, mystical religion but nothing they cared about since they had never encountered one. So there would be no loyalty here nor even the same definition of good and evil.
