George Takei, the “Star Trek” regular who recently had a stint in NBC’s “Heroes” as Hiro’s dad, plans to make it legal with his partner of 21 years. Read the announcement on his official site.

Let’s just hope my fellow California voters don’t make their blessed event come to naught in November, when we will most likely have an amendment to the California constitution on the ballot.
Please, California, be more enlightened than you were eight years ago.
