Trailer park: Harrison Ford harnesses the minds of children for war, because why not

And it’s the first trailer for the Ender’s Game adaption, which really wants you know that a bunch of these actors have been up for/won Oscars. (Ford was nominated for Witness in 1985, which I can’t blame anyone for forgetting) Book fans may want to check out io9’s spoiler-full screencap study of the trailers.

Below the cut, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost go pubbing, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock get lost in space, and… Alien folksingers, because why not?

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) reunite for The World’s End.

I have no idea if Gravity is science fiction, but hey, astronauts.

Wasn’t kidding about alien folksinger(s): The History of Future Folk looks adorable.

  1. This reminds me of how they turned Narnia into a war movie. Sigh.

Always enjoy Harrison Ford, but it feels like everything sci-fi is about loud noises and explosions now. And fantasy must by Hollywood law contain a long CGI battle sequence irregardless of whether it actually moves the story forward or simply stalls it for 10 minutes. *grumble*
