Amazon has a date for new Encyclopedia

February 14th, 2008 by Dunc · 2 Comments

Discovered today on Amazon: A listing for The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia by Steve Sansweet and due out in November. Amazon has never been the most reliable source on the block, but we do know that an updated Encyclopedia is in the works, and a pre-Christmas date is certainly likely. Hopefully this is a sign we’ll be getting an official update on the book soon. (via)

That’s consistent with Jason Fry’s comment that, had Star Wars: The Essential Atlas made it’s original November 08 release date, “. . . the ATLAS would have been competing with the new, very cool-sounding Star Wars Encyclopedia.”

Fry’s comment is at 2/1 1:21pm, in the Cartography thread: http://boards.theforce.net/literature/b10003/21938930/p48

Ugh. I could’ve sworn November was one of the dates given for the Atlas, but now I can’t find that. I should really learn to double-check these things before I post, especially when in a state of being half asleep.
