Kotobukiya’s Jaina Solo is finished?

Plastikitty spotted what looks like a finished version of Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo Jaina Solo on Big Bad Toy Store, and it certainly looks ready. The statue is 9 inches tall and is on pre-order for $54.99 – not all that bad a price, considering how much collector stuff usually goes for.

We first heard about the Jaina Solo Bishoujo statue at last year’s San Diego Comic Con. Still waiting on that Sideshow Mara figure, though…

UPDATE: You can see some other looks at the statue on io9.

  1. I really like this sculpt and I’m not sure why. I’m not normally attracted to this style.

Whatever. Not like I’ll get it, anyway. :)

  2. I must have finally gotten old, because that generic anime face is suddenly like nails on a chalkboard. I’d be all over this if she had a decent face, but as it is I think I’ll pass.

  3. She looks…normal (in regards to body type), and is wearing appropriate clothing. *Orson Welles clap*

  4. What Nanci said. I’m not usually a fan of the general anime art style, but I’m a little bit in love with this piece. There’s an elegant simplicity to the design, the sculpt is beautifully detailed, and it’s MILES from the hyper-sexualized stuff that we usually see. Slap a more detailed face on it, and I’d scrape the money together in a heartbeat.

  5. Wow- I really like it and as others shared, I’m not big on the style. But she looks normal, not over the top- love it. And the eyes remind me a bit of Leia’s in ESB when she hears Luke through the Force. Guess that’s why it’s not a complete ugh. For once, the choice makes sense.

I may have to find one of these for my daughter’s room. :)
