It might be too late for Dragon*Con (Not to mention the Deathly Hallows release) but anyone planning to dress up in a Potterish fashion for Halloween may find these paper wandmaking instructions fairly useful – and definitely cheaper than the screen replicas! I bet this method could probably be adapted for quickie lightsaber handles as well. (via not martha)
