Video: Half-Blood Prince as a goofy teen flick

This hilarious remix highlights the most typically high school movie-esque parts of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince — already the silliest of the adaptions.

  1. I don’t know if I’d even that a remix trailer – it pretty accurately sums up HBP!

Still, silliest of the HP films it may be, but it still beats the first two by miles.

  2. The first two were works of art. HBP was barely coherent.

I think in general it did a better job with the romances than the book did, but the romances were also the weakest part of the book. Unfortunately, the film took all the mystery out of the mystery. Too many unnecessary scenes were added. I don’t mind changes that improve the story telling or adapt it to film…but there was too much change for the sake of change.

But the trailer is fun, almost makes me want to dust it off and watch again… I could watch Hermione wack Harry on the head all day. :)

Really? We’re talking about Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets, right? And the films, not the books?

I found them dull, poorly paced and filled with terrible acting from the kids. The only interesting thing was watching and saying “oh yeah, I remember this form the books”. It was only from Prisoner of Azkaban onwards that I actually found myself enjoying the films in their own right.

  4. It’s just a silly video, guys. This is neither the time nor the place for debating the quality of the Potter adaptions.
