Update from James: Even if you have no interest in the game, you should watch this trailer for sheer Star Wars awesome. They distilled some of the things fans love most about the saga and blended them into this sequence. A cocky gun-slinging smuggler, lightsaber battles with Jedi and Sith, narrow escapes and new alliances.

I wouldn’t say I’m SNAG, but I’m SNAMMOG. But I’m still delighted that TOR has been such a fantastic source of cinematics, haha.

So by ‘intro cinematic’ do they mean that this latest video is a cutscene from the game? That would be really, really cool if the game was loaded with these!

Slightly off-topic, but if they can do this level of CGI, there’s no need for the “live-action” show to be live-action. If they want to do it affordably, this is how.

Alex: i believe that this cinematic is the introduction of the game – when you first load up TOR, it will boot up with this.

Does it bother anyone else that the designers are just ripping off designs from the prequels? Me thinks clone trooper armor didn’t exist this far back. I do like that cow boy hat the smuggler is wearing though, even if it is stolen from Cad Bane.

This is definitely the weakest of the cinematic trailers. It seems like someone from lukasfilm stepped in an messed up the dialog
