The fandom minute: Obi-Wan Kenobi is dead

A day long remembered… This pitch-perfect New York Times parody on the death of Obi-Wan Kenobi emerged upon the internet today. Be sure not to miss the comment section.

The perpetrator? Someone at the web design firm Visible U.

Iconic. Wayne Dorrington retells The Empire Strikes Back in iconoscope. (He did A New Hope not so long ago.)

Burning questions. How did Apple.com get into the movie trailer biz? It has to do with a little movie called The Phantom Menace.

Crafts. Make a lightsaber cake cutter.

Customs. Sillof’s latest is Medieval Fantasy Star Wars.

Randomly… On McSweeney’s, a Hoth realtor addresses some of the concerns being raised over his decision to turn Han Solo’s deceased tauntaun into a modest studio apartment.

Your moment of zen. I’ve been getting kind of a kick out of the blog Things 90’s Kids Realize. Number 91? Luke Skywalker is the Joker.

  1. That false NY Times article was immensely amusing, especially since I kept noticing new little gems like the fact that it was written by Den Dhur.
