September 27 release date for Star Wars Blu-Rays

If Amazon is to be believed, the three Star Wars Blu-Ray sets will be out on September 27. Prepare yourself now for the inevitable media blitz!

I definitely love how they can take something as simple as a release date for Blu-Ray discs and stretch it out into three press events.
First, at CV, “BD sets are coming in 2011!!”
Then at CES, “BD sets will be available in Sept!”
Now, “The release date is Sept 27th!”
I’m just waiting for the next press release to list that they’ll be available at 11:38pm the night before or something.
Gotta love the Lucas media machine. They know how to keep us all talking.

LFL didn’t issue anything about this. It was Amazon sending emails to those who already pre-ordered that alerted us to it.

Ah. I see. You get my point though. I actually like how, with Star Wars, the everyday things are big deals.
