Quickly! Dispatches from San Diego Comic-Con

I suspect Pablo took this.San Diego Comic-Con is here, and StarWars.com has snapshots from Preview night. (Watch their Flickr for stuff from today/tonight.) Of special note for EU fans: The cover to John Jackson Miller’s Knight Errant novel. Newsflash: It snows.

The geek girls panel was this evening, but I’m not seeing any reports just yet… It did launch a hashtag, though.

  1. Oh, Boba Fett is going to be in a video game. Surprise, surprise. Another mid-game mini boss role, perhaps? Certainly, yes.

Remember when Boba Fett was kind of mysterious? When sightings of the character were a rare occurrence? Back before the EU started getting smaller and smaller as it got bigger and bigger, and the things that used to be rare all became running gag cameos? I can’t say that I dislike the character, but my vanished teenage self certainly never foresaw a day when I would be so friggin’ TIRED of him.

I have to say though, I’ll be interested to see how the Knight Errant novel turns out. I like JJM’s comics work quite a bit, but whether that’s telling of his prose or not remains to be seen.

  2. Is knight Errant a hard back release? Getting slightly tired of the current trend towards hard backing everything. Expensive it is!

  3. That has to be my favorite Westboro counter-protest ever. Good for the nerds :D

  4. It’s in my amazon wish list, as are all SW books not yet released lol
