wow. An editor at balticon warned people not to ever ever do this a few years ago. I think they were from Tor, and they were definetely speaking with the voice of experience one can only get by having someone enter your office in costume to ‘drop off a manuscript.’
Yeah, he says it’s probably not wise to try such a thing if you’re not dealing with an industry dominated by youngish geeks. ;)
