Lucasfilm is releasing the unaltered Original Trilogy on DVD this September. They’ll only be available for a limited time, but they will be available. StarWarsShop even has Han shot first t-shirts for the occasion.

Life is GOOD!
I have seen much complaining that George intended to do this all along as some big, giant conspiracy to take yet more money from us.
First off, I think the man is entirely too stubborn to give up his previously-stated opinion very easily. Secondly, do we really care?
Honestly, people. You spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars every year on this man’s empire. If you don’t like it, then don’t buy it.
I’m getting more than one copy, myself.

Finally! I refused to buy the “altered” DVDs, so this makes me very happy.
I’ll stick with my thinkgeek.com PVP “Han Shot First” shirt, considering how fugly the graphic is on the shop one. (Ick!) Too bad that text isn’t an option on the custom t-shirts.
