Wacky merchandise: Artoo and Yoda string lights

I fail to see how regular string lights would conflict with Star Wars holiday or party decor, but for those of you who want to get as much branded merchandise as possible into one room, Artoo and Yoda light strings are here. Or will be, anyway.

Dunc, you didn’t mention the twistedest (Is that a word?) thing in that article… The Yoda Tree Topper!

But this is a clean blog, so *insert* your own joke here. ;-)

Ehh, the Yoda tree topper didn’t shock me much.

The thing with the lights is they would be SO MUCH BETTER – and make more sense – if they were, say, X-Wings and TIEs. Multiple Artoos you can get away away with, but Yoda? It’s just pandering.

I made a shocking discovery recently, that almost all string lights contain lead in the PVC wire coating, and very few of them mention it on the label. I wonder if these do. If they’re made in the USA. there’s a slim chance they’re lead-free.

I’ve actually been looking for a Star Wars tree topper to go with my Star Wars tree. Since Hallmark won’t step up to the plate….

And having a line of dancing Artoos is kinda cute. The Yoda doesn’t work for me, though.

If some crafty person were to repaint those R2s with a bunch of different colors, they’d look rather cool.

JK Thunder – Light strings do carry a label called the Prop 65 Warning, which in essence states that they contain lead , “a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after use.”
