Victor, Echo, November, Tango, uh-oh?
Internet buzz has been going around the announcement from FOX that the season finale of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse would be May 8, with the 12th episode, “Omega”. But the buzz was about them not showing episode thirteen: “Epitaph One” – did FOX screw Joss Whedon over again? Producer Tim Minear explains it that “Omega” was meant to be the season ender, and “Epitaph One” is meant for DVD, as part of the need to fulfill a thirteen episode deal. The more I think about the Dollhouse (and I have been catching it regularly now). It really is a one season idea, two tops. The premise is different and interesting, but I also think it’s something that could get old quickly.
So, yeah, I’d rather see it end with a half way neat wrap up, then drag out into a tangled mess. I will however happily see it out to the end.
