There is some seriously crazy stuff in StarWars.com’s look at faddish Star Wars merchandise: My favorite is the Luke Skywalker Member’s Only jacket. I swear if I didn’t actually remember the pogs and holograms and foil promo cards I would write the whole post off as April Fools…

Star Wars buddies were awesome – who wouldn’t want a cute cuddly Chewbacca or Watto?
i remember seeing the vans advertised in the little Kenner catalogs that came with some of the toys from back then — along with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid action figures.

How on earth did I miss out on those Giga Pets? They were all the rage when I was a kid! I had two of the buddies, but sadly they were ripped apart by a hyper puppy.

I was obsessed with the Star Wars buddies and got them all!
Although I must admit some insult over the mocking of my 80′s fashion choices. The glitter iron-on with the big, metal belt buckle is the ultimate in chic.
