Where did they get this? I wonder if this was stuff cut from the behind-the-scenes stuff for the DVD?

I can tell you all about this- Deleted Magic was a project by a Star Wars fan named Garrett Gilchrist to re-incorporate as much lost footage back into Star Wars. It essentially is a feature-length fan-made documentary.

He no longer has the bandwidth to host clips of DM on the site, but if you e-mail him, he will send you a DVD of the entire film. It’s actually really cool! Tons of deleted footage; stuff I’ve never seen before.
