The Razzie ‘winners’ are announced

First the ‘good’ news: The Clone Wars did not take home the Razzie for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel. The bad news is that Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull did. Oh well!

(I still think it should have been the other way around. ::ducks fruit::)

  1. Well, if one takes expectations into account… No one ever really expects anything great from the Meet the Spartans/Epic Movie types.

  2. I totally agree. Clone Wars was way worse.

(Actually, I enjoyed Indy. So maybe my opinion shouldn’t count here.)

  3. Wow, this was a toss up. Based on sheer number of eye rolls I committed in the movie theater, I’m still going to have to give it to Indy. Ziro the Hutt versus CGI Groundhogs? Cute nicknames versus nuked fridges? Battle droids versus bumbling old Jones? I mean, tit for tat there’s a lot bad with both, but I could forgive a few light saber battles fights and starship battles. I can’t forgive swinging from trees and natives encased in walls and grouchy vindictive aliens.

  4. Hm. After the Razzies dubbed Hayden Christensen the Worst SUPPORTING Actor for Revenge of the Sith (emphasis on the category, not the nom), I began to seriously question whether or not those bestowing the “honors” actually watched the movies they nominated.
